I feel this law is appropriate and in place since eating while swimming poses severe threats to the individual life. For instance, eating while swimming poses the risk of drowning, which threatens one life. Also, taking some food when swimming at the ocean beach can attract some predators that live in the sea, such as sharks that may, in the long run, cause harm or attack the people. However, humans are not targeted by a shark; but, if they hold something that attracts them, they become a target for attack. Therefore, I feel that the law comes in handy to ensure the security of the people at the beach is guaranteed.
